Raymon collazo

Co-Founder, Co-Chairperson

Raymond holds a BA in Philosophy with a Writing Minor from John Jay University. A published writer, his work reflects his experience as a Nuyorican and Army Veteran looking for deeper connection with his land and community. Raymond has written several short stories and is working on bringing those to life in film and in print.

A Creative Writing MFA dropout due to Hurricane Maria when he felt the need to immediately help his people. Having his experience with disaster relief and non-profit work on the ground in Puerto Rico, he saw a need to create an organization that would address these gaps in the system. He is dedicated to creating a renaissance in Puerto Rico via the arts, helping Puertorriqueños not flee the islands and usher in the era for an energy-independent Puerto Rican archipelago.

Raymond is an entrepreneur, helping several start-ups get off the ground. He is a writer by trade, a humanitarian by heart and a military police combat veteran trained to provide direct assistance his homeland needs.
